Rachael Sokolowski is the President of Magnolia
Technologies, LLC. She has designed and developed software applications
for over twenty years, with a concentration in XML systems, industry
standardization, electronic and digital signatures, business-to-business
information exchange, electronic mortgages (eMortgages), health
care information and text processing, indexing and structuring. Access

Rachael Sokolowski is the President of Magnolia Technologies, LLC. She has designed and developed software applications for over twenty-five years, with a concentration in XML systems, industry standardization, electronic and digital signatures, business-to-business information exchange, electronic mortgages (eMortgages), health care information and text processing, indexing and structuring. Past clients of Magnolia Technologies have included Fannie Mae, First American, The Massachusetts Medical Society, The Medical Records Institute, MERS, Putnam Investments and Wells Fargo.
Ms. Sokolowski is a major contributor to MISMO and designed many of the eMortgage specifications: the SMART Document, the eMortgage Package and the XML architecture for the MERS® eRegistry. She is currently working on the design and architecture for MISMO XML transactions for electronic closing rooms. She is the chair of the Enveloping/Interface Architectures workgroup and is one of the leading authors of the use of SOAP in electronic mortgage messages.
Ms. Sokolowski has worked on a variety of eMortgage projects for large lenders, vendors and GSEs. Projects have included:
Solving integration issues with legacy systems and imaging
Designing conversion processes from proprietary information to industry standard representations
Review of eMortgage applications and documents to MISMO specifications
Review of MERS electronic Registration and eVaulting systems to investor requirements
Design of eClosing rooms with electronic signatures
Assistance with implementations and requirements for tamper evident signatures, MERS eRegistry and investor delivery
In-house training to help staff understand the requirements for eMortgages.
In March of 2006, Ms. Sokolowski was designated by the Mortgage Banking Magazine as a “MISMO All-Star.”
Previously, she has served as Chair of two national health care standards organizations: Health Level Seven (HL7) XML and Clinical Document Architecture Technical Committees and ASTM E31.25 or XML DTDs for Health Care. In March of 1999, Ms. Sokolowski testified about the uses of XML for electronic patient medical records in health care to the National Committee on Vital and Health Statistics (NCVHS) under the Department of Health and Human Services.
